When you think of Orient, you think of automatic movements. This where the Monarch flips the script: instead of being powered by an automatic movement, it is instead hand-winding only. Call it an ode to the watches of the past. The Orient caliber 48C40 is a manual-wound movement with a 40-hour power reserve indicator. The case size is 40mm x 13mm. You wind the watch with the crown to reach the 40 hour power reserve on the dial indicator. It will run for nearly two days before it needs to be wound. An exhibition window case back allows you to view the hand winding movement.
